Dose counter

The dose numbers are printed on the plunger rod, which rotates 180° for each dose. On each rotation and forward movement a new (n−1) number appears, until it gets to zero. On reaching zero the device locks itself and can be disposed of.

Most other similar existing devices have a far more complex dose counting mechanism involving one or two extra parts. Those extra parts drive up moulding and assembly cost, which is not ideal for developing markets like India.
